Angle of Entry
Angle of Entry is more of a training exercise than it is a drill due to the nature of it’s setup. The basic principle is to visualize what “time” the ball is going to enter the hole with 6 o’ clock being the exact midline of the hole (straight putt). Left to right putts will enter between 6 and 9 while right to left putts will enter between 3 and 6. You can be as specific as you would like in terms of what time the ball will enter when preparing for a putt.
If you would like to create a drill out of Angle of Entry you can place tees where the red lines are on the diagram. This will shrink the target and emphasize the visualization necessary to determine the rest of your line based up the angle at which the ball is going to enter the hole.
